Fashion's favourite soundtrack artist answers Jefferson Hack's questionnaire

Sound collagist, sound artist, sound illustrator, show music maestro – there have been many attempts to describe the work of Frédéric Sanchez, but thus far nothing quite covers it. Operating as a highly successful musician and DJ, he is also a unique figure in the world of fashion, collaborating with designers and musicians to forge soundscapes for shows. His works are complex, poetic and thrilling, bridging the sonic gap between clothes and audience with esoteric flair. He’s worked with Martin Margiela – scoring a show in silence – to Miuccia Prada – opening her S/S14 presentation with Britney Spears’ Work, Bitch. There is no snobbery or elitism in his work, only creativity, a love of music and an understanding of its power to make you feel. Here he gets personal with Jefferson Hack, opening up on what makes him laugh, cry and feel inspired, alongside a selection of tracks chosen to soundtrack his answers.
