This week's Happy Monday brings the glasses of cultural icons into focus in a wonderful series by Federico Mauro

Andy Warhol and his polonecks; Twiggy and her mini skirts; Marlon Brando and his leather jackets. As we saw with our Vintage Style Owns chart, certain cultural icons come hand in hand with their clothing traits, their chosen pieces becoming almost as familiar as the faces that sport them. The same goes for accessories and in particular glasses, as recognised in this week's Happy Monday, a marvellous series by Italian web designer Federico Mauro titled Famous Eyeglasses. The premise is simple but brilliantly effective: Mauro takes a pair of notable glasses – from John Lennon's round ones to Lolita's heart-shaped ones – places them in the centre of a white background and writes the owner's name below, thereby cementing the idea that one's choice of eyewear can come to define you. We hope these help you to see Monday in a more positive light.

Happy Monday! #anotherhappymonday
