Who? As Halloween beckons, Nightcrawler, a brilliant new thriller by writer and director Dan Gilroy (of The Bourne Legacy fame), goes to prove that the dark side of mankind is often the most chilling subject matter of all. Nasty and funny in equal measure, the film is a satire on tabloid journalism with Jake Gyllenhaal as Louis Bloom, an ambulance-chasing paparazzo willing to plumb the depths of immorality and then some in order to get his scoop.
