Intertwined cubs chosen by Ellie Grace Cumming are making hearts melt on AnOther Loves

There are really no words that can do justice to the latest Love of the Week. Chosen by Another Man’s fashion editor Ellie Grace Cumming, this image of a leopard and panther cub intertwined, titled Cub Cuddles, simply defines adorable, and is yet more proof that animals on Loves can do no wrong. From Tippi Degré disporting herself with a leopard or the languorous paddling of a dazzling blue dragon mollusc, to a cat shaped school, a horse-sized bicycle and an elephant slide, it is clear that creatures of all shapes and sizes are a constant source of inspiration and delight for AnOther’s Lovers.

The popularity of our Pets column, exploring the lives of the famous through their animals, is an overt demonstration that animals equal happiness, and this universal appeal has not escaped the notice of the fashion world, which has positioned them stage left in shoots, dead centre on sweaters or woven into materials as patterns or motifs. A Corinne Day shoot for Vogue with Jessica Stam saw the model bedecked in faux leopard embracing a giraffe, while big cats have frequently starred in fashion campaigns for the likes of Cartier and Bulgari. And nearly every catwalk – from the customary flamboyance of Cavalli and Dolce & Gabanna through the ultra-chic stylings of Lanvin and Louis Vuitton to the avant-garde unconventionality of Junya Watanabe and Prada – has played host to some form of animal inspiration, be it leopard print or animalesque details.
