AnOther collaborates with illustrator Toby Melville-Brown on a series of four beautiful peepholes to celebrate Agent Provocateur's Annoushka

Meet Annoushka, a beautiful black lace three-piece set – bra, brief and suspender – part of Agent Provocateur's A/W13 collection and AnOther's latest Object of Desire. "Light-as-air and barely there, the Annoushka is a tantalising halterneck bra of Chantilly lace, with almost invisible construction and underwiring to give shape. Tiny shell buttons keep the wisps of lace together, and reveal flashes of skin in between," explain Agent Provocateur's creative director Sarah Shotton.

Inspired by peepholes, a much-loved and sexy way of seeing which dates back to the 15th century, illustrator Toby Melville-Brown focused on four sections of the garment. "Each of these four areas are very dramatic presentations of the design. When the beautiful lacework of the garments are depicted as if on a body, the item comes alive with all its intended allure and mysticism," explains Melville-Brown. "What inspires me about the garment is its classical decoration of the female form. I was able to apply my signature aesthetic to a completely different subject, as elements that feature in my architectural drawings (high-detail, pattern communicating form) are also present in Agent Provocateur’s lingerie."

The new A/W13 collection, which goes on sale today, was inspired by the Grandes dames of Seventies Sci Fi – Barbarella, Bat Girl and the Flash Gordon femmes. "A superhuman sexiness," Shotton explains.
