The autumn/winter 2011 cover of AnOther Magazine, Issue 21 broke new ground in AnOther's 10-year history, becoming the first cover to feature an animal – an adorable Alpine Goat cradled by actress Rachel Weisz, photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Olivier Rizzo. As well as being interviewed by artist and friend Harland Miller, Weisz has been guest posting on the AnOther Loves stream for the past two weeks, so we only thought it fair that her fellow, four-legged cover star gets her turn in the spotlight.

The goat, now named Sheena (after Scottish recording artist Sheena Easton) was originally sourced for the AnOther Magazine cover story, shot on location at Red Hook, by leading set designer Stefan Beckmann. Sheena is an Alpine goat, a breed of domestic goat orginated in the French Alps, and lives with a herd of around 40 goats on Rainbeau Ridge, a farm located in Bedford Hills, forty miles northwest of New York City. The farm was first set up in 2002 by owners Lisa and Mark Schwartz and includes a small-scale egg operation, organic vegetable gardens, a restored orchard, small pastures and barns designed for the farm’s many animals, and a cheese house, where Lisa cultivates her award-winning farmstead goat milk cheese.

AnOther was told by the family at Rainbeau Ridge that Sheena is "growing up to be quite a cutie. Her favourite hobbies are playing with visitors to the farm and eating hay." When she is older, Sheena will join the herd of milking goats used to produce cheese. In the accompanying film, Sheena is the one with one horn who jumps up on the fence when Lisa shouts "Hey girlfriend".
