Today’s Happy Monday comes all the way from the USA, in the form of LA-based artist Jen Stark’s rainbow-hued creations. With a nod to the Op Art movement pioneered by artists Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely in the 1960s, Stark’s mesmerising sculptures are predominantly crafted from paper – a fact that makes her ability to conjure intricate spirals and cavernous whirlpools in vibrant colours all the more beguiling. Here, we’ve edited a selection of our favourites from Stark’s sprawling archive, bringing a splash of psychedelia to a rather gloomy Monday.
